City of dispossesed

Possibly I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the war. My parents wouldn’t have met if German inhabitants weren’t forcibly deported from the recovered territories and Poles displaced and moved to the West, among others, to Wrocław. One side of the family would probably still live where present-day Lithuania is and the other, Ukraine. The consequences of the war are unpredictable. One of such consequences of the war in Ukraine was the love and solidarity ignited in many European countries. These strong feelings helped those displaced and dispossessed find a safe haven, even if temporarily. I hope Europe will keep flourishing with such unexpected consequences. Helping to make Europe complete, with Ukraine – safe and strong, again.
