The Cathedral of Jaén (Spanish: Catedral de la Asunción de Jaén) is one of the most important Renaissance religious buildings in Andalusia and all of Spain.
“Renaissance” meant the revival of the cultural achievements of Greek and Roman antiquity – of European origin – which became the benchmark for Renaissance works.
