158 Severinivska Street, the town of Irpin. Population nearly 70 thousand. 30 km from the centre of Kyiv. Russian soldiers entered from the Belorussian side. Between 27.02 and 28.03 there was a continuous fight for the town. The exact number of victims is still unknown, immediately after the liberation a preliminary estimate was 300 civilian deaths. For more than a month it was impossible to restore electricity and gas supply because of the massive scale of destruction and mines. 71% of the town is destroyed. 1100 buildings (houses, hospitals, schools, nurseries) are damaged or erased. It is estimated that the reconstruction will require over 850 million Euro. On 25.03 the Ukrainian President Zelensky awarded the town with the title “Hero City”.
